The Montclair Department of Health and Human Services has partnered with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey to offer a series of virtual seminars on maintaining good physical and mental health in the time of COVID-19. The presenter is Vincent Smith a health care educator withHorizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey.

Healthy Eating on a Budget During COVID-19

Monday, July 27, 1:00 p.m.

In this virtual program Vincent will provide tips on how to buy fresh fruits and vegetables at a low cost, how to plan home meals and how to save money on food commonly consumed at home during a pandemic.

The Power to Choose: Opioid Use and Misuse and Disposing During COVID-19

Opioids are a class of drugs that include the illegal drug heroin, synthetic opioids such as fentanyl and pain relievers available legally by prescription such as oxycodone (Oxycontin) hydrocodone (Vicodin) codeine, morphine and many others. Drugabuse.gov
