Comic Relief Comes to Montclair

Montclair Township employees were out in force yesterday, donning their red noses in support of Red Nose Day. Although the official date of Red Nose Day is May 24, the Township had a visit from Comic Relief to help rally the troops for a day of fun and — comic relief.

Comic Relief is a is an independent sister organization to the UK charity Comic Relief, which was founded in 1985 by the comedy scriptwriter Richard Curtis and comedian Lenny Henry in response to famine in Ethiopia.

The US organization sponsors Red Nose Day, an annual event that has raised more than $95 million since 2015 to provide ulti-year grants to charitable organizations such as Feeding America, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Save the Children and others.
