NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR 2021 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT APPLICATIONS

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that applications for federal funds under HUD’s 2021 Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) are now available from the Montclair Township Department of Planning & Community Development. According to Planning Director Janice Talley, Montclair anticipates receiving $320,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds in the 2021 program year. This fund is largely used for capital projects within eligible areas of the Township. Some of the funds are made available to non-profit organizations whose projects benefit primarily persons of low and moderate income such as substance abuse counseling and youth programs.

A remote public hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, November 17 at 6:00 pm using Cisco WebEx Meeting. The public is welcome to participate in the hearing through the following link:

Those interested in applying should attend. Completed applications are due in the Montclair Planning Department by noon on Friday, December 4.
